We have a little bit of this super special PCC Yarn in the shop, and it's making me so happy. These skeins of wooly goodness come from the Vet Tech program at Portland Community College. Students in the program learn to care for a variety of animals, from cats to cows.
The wool from the sheep used to be thrown away, but now it is processed into this rustic sheepy fingering weight wool. I doubt we will get too much more of this, so pop in soon if you're interested. It doesn't get much more local than this!

Take a look at the Big Rad Bulky from Spun Right Round. It's a super cool, almost felted sort of yarn. Come see what we have left! You'll love it.

Pigeonroof Mitts
We are still enjoying the spoils of the yarn crawl. Our visiting artists have left us so many beautiful things! The mini-skein sets from Pigeonroof Studios have been joined by a rainbow of samples of the Gradient Mitts.
These gorgeous little gloves are just the thing for this chilly then warm in-between weather we are having. They are perfect with my raincoat! And with so many colors to choose from, they can be perfect with yours, too.

Eye Candy
Sally always chooses the coolest samples. Her Paper Bag Hat in Spun Right Round Sport Sock is perfection. I did not understand how the hat was going to work based on what she has done so far, but I looked at the Ravelry page and was totally excited to make my own. Go take a look for yourselves. The pattern is free, the yarn is awesome, and the knitting is easy. Added bonus: you can use up one whole skein of this gorgeous hand dyed yarn. Get thee to the yarn shop!

We stocked up on project bags for the crawl, and we still have so many cute ones in the shop. Any knitter or crocheter will tell you, one can never have too many project bags. Several sizes, fabrics, prints, and graphics for you! Pop in and treat yourself.

Endless Eye Candy
How about this Endless Wrap from the Blue Sky Fibers trunk show? It's knit with nine skeins of Woolstok, making it the coziest thing ever. Sally has it wrapped around several times here, and she is very toasty warm. Winter is not over, friends!

Big Lakes
Check out these big beautiful skeins from Lakes Yarn and Fibers!
One of the perks of having dyers visit with trunk shows and samples is that they often leave fabulous things for us to pass on to you! Each one of these limited edition skeins is 620 whopping yards of worsted weight wool for $44. Just two of these will make a pretty good-sized sweater.
I'm pretty much in love with all of these colors. It's going to be hard to choose my favorite. Which one do you love best?
