Let's Knit Fancy Stockings!
Ready for the holidays? Ha! Neither
am I. But I really want Adrienne to get us ready! Over just three classes in November, Adrienne will guide
you through the construction of these fabulous stockings. This class is designed for any skill level. You can
choose to do stranded colorwork and add deer and snowflakes and trees,
or you can keep it simple with stripes and solids.
She has designed several motifs for you to choose from, so each stocking you make can be designed with a specific recipient in mind. Adrienne will walk you through all of the basics of the colorwork, too. These stockings are certain to become family heirlooms for you and your loved ones.
Stop by the shop or give us a call to sign up. This is going to be a fun class!

Noro Tennen
We have some subtle new Noro on the shelves these days. Tennen is a gorgeous wool/alpaca/silk blend. This pretty yarn knits up at about 4 to 4.5 stitches per inch on a US7, and it shows a nice quiet fading stripe.
We haven't had a chance to work up any samples yet, but I'm looking forward to see how it knits up. I know some of you will consider this for a Noromania blanket. Wouldn't that be gorgeous? Yes, it sure would.

Sumptuous Sock Minis
The Spun Right Round Sumptuous mini sock skeins are sure looking like a treat! Those bright neon colors are like acid-washed My Little Ponies. And the dark and dirty colorways are killing me. Love those crazy cool color combinations.
These guys will add an unusual pop to any project. It would be fun to add a bright edge to a shawl or a contrast tip to a scarf. Maybe a stripe or a contrast ribbing on a beanie would be a nice touch. The cute little Rose City Rollers shorty socks would be awesome.
Just two little skeins should make a pair, and it would be fun to play with some wacky color combos. The Littles are super cute, too, if you and your small human need some nice matching socks.
If you're going to knit coordinating socks, they might as well be wacky. The Spun Right Round is just the thing. Come choose your favorites while we have a nice bowl full of colorful treats!

Woolstok Trunk Show
The beautiful Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok has been a popular new yarn at the shop now that fall is upon us. Look at that gorgeous texture and rich color. We are so fortunate to have a trunk show featuring the Woolstok designs. Let's take a peek!
The Cromwell Pullover is just as lovely and classic in real life as I had hoped. I love the scooped neckline and raglan sleeves. I want this one.
The grellow colors of the Tonka Bay Touque are so very Close Knit, and the cute tassels are just adorable. I love the simple textured stitches on this sweet touque.
This Endless Wrap is no joke. This scarf is huge! But so cozy.
And the Trimont Snood in lovely indigo blue is just gorgeous. It can be worn as a cowl or a hood...I suppose that's the definition of a snood!
It's so great to see the yarn worked in all of these different textures. Woolstok is truly beautiful in the skein, but seeing these pieces knit up really gives us a chance to see how gorgeous this yarn can be! Let's look at a few more shades just for fun.

Holiday Ornaments
Adrienne's Holiday Ornaments class is on the calendar for Tuesday, November 1. She has designed a number of little patterns for you to try out on these fun ornaments. I love the stripes and spots, personally, but the reindeer and snowmen are pretty cute, too!
This one-night class will be tons of fun. Adrienne will walk you through the colorwork process, show you how to stuff the balls, and help you create the little loop for hanging.
These would be sweet on a tree, obviously, but I think they would also be great decorating a mantle, a banister, or even a gift. Give us a call or stop by to sign up. This is going to be a fun class!
