Fyberspates Scrumptious yarns are back in full force! We have three flavors at the moment in some lovely jewely shades.
This is the Lace. So much lace. Each one of these skeins holds more
than 1000 yards of silk/merino. A friend of mine slogged through the
extensive 2x2 ribbing of Tirrold, which I am still hoping to make
someday. I just have to decide on a color.
This is the 4-Ply/Sport. That gold one makes my heart go pitter patter every time I see it. And that grey. Hmmm...what can I make with those two together? Stripe Study? (Oh, look someone else with my color sense.)
And the Aran. Look at that pink. Oh, my. Ysolda and Stephanie (Tiny Owl Knits) created the ridiculously cute BFF Cowls for Knitty with the Aran. It would be fun to do this as a gift for/with someone.
These are all such beautiful yarns, it really is hard to decide which one I like best. What will you make with these beauties?

Even More Scrumptious
Sally popped out to Lantern Moon this morning to bring more Scrumptious into our lives.
So many knitters fell in love with the Hethe Cardigan in Scrumptious Lace that we were all but cleaned out. The smallest sizes of this pretty cardigan from The Scrumptious Collection can be knit with just one skein of the Lace.
While she was picking up more Lace for you all, she talked her way into another trunk show!
She knows I love the Tirrold sweater, also knit with one skein of Lace, and she couldn't resist Challow, knit with the so very pretty Scrumptious 4ply/Sport. Both of these sweaters are in the Scrumptious Collection Volume 1.
Sally also scored a few individual Lantern Moon patterns featuring Lace. Two lovely knitters took home the yarn and pattern to make Krystina today.
Alyona has come to live with us for a bit, too. So sweet and pretty. Alyona and Krystina each require one skein of Lace. I wore the purple one around for a bit today, and it felt so good scrunched up around my neck.
We also now have Saturday Treat, Scrumptious Knits by Carol Feller, and The Scrumptious Baby Collection. Take a look at a few of the sweet pieces in the baby book: the Corlyna Cardigan, the Ensar Dungarees, and the Temari Kimono Jacket.
I'm not sure how long we'll be able to keep these samples at the shop, so head on out while the sun shines and come see us!

Scrumptious and Holiday Hours
Fyberspates, a UK yarn company, has recently started distributing some of their beautiful yarns through our friends at Lantern Moon. We are trying out two yarns from their Scrumptious line, Scrumptious Lace and Scrumptious 4ply Sport.
This is some pretty yarn, friends. A silk and merino blend with some amazing yardage: over 1000 yards in each skein of laceweight and about 400 yards in the 4ply sport. The 4ply sport is machine washable, too.
The pattern book, the Scrumptious Collection Volume 1, is really fabulous. I am particularly smitten with the hat on the cover, Arncott, and this beautiful little pullover, Tirrold.
There is a short and long version, and most sizes require only one skein of the lovely laceweight. The book is full of some great sweaters and accessories.
We have some special holiday hours in the next few weeks, too. We'll be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and we will be closing early on the 24th and 31st. We are going to skip Open Knit Night on the 28th, too.
Sally made a pretty little sign with all the details. Don't forget, we are open until 10 PM on Wednesday, December 21st for any knitting emergencies that might arise.

While there isn't really enough time to crank out a Scrumptious lace shawl before Sunday, there is still plenty of time to create some handmade gifts with some of our favorite bulky yarns. We have a lot of Cascade Magnum, Lana Grande, and Twinkle Soft Chunky on the shelves for your last minute knitting needs.
And, if someone you know is looking for a gift for you (their favorite knitter) just send them to the shop and tell them to say Scrumptious.
